| Mischa Barton Launches Her Own Website | November 21, 2008 |

Following her disappearance from the Hollywood spotlight after leaving her hit tv series ‘The O.C.’, Mischa Barton has launched her own website to counteract the spin and highlight what she’s been up to. In a video message, the 22-year-old says, “This is something I’ve really wanted for a long time, I’m just excited to have a real connection with my fans and put some truth out there.” She adds, “I just think there’s all kinds of misconceptions on the internet these days and I really think that the internet can be used for good and for bad and there’s all kinds of crap that’s written about me. “Half the time I look at the internet and read these stories and they’re just so outlandish and not true at all and I don’t want my fans to have the wrong idea of who I am as a person.” |

Hello and welcome to this new website for Mischa Barton called Mischa Daily. My name is Anna and you might know me from my other website Just Leighton. This site serves to bring you the latest news and gossip about the former The O.C actress Mischa Barton. I know there are many great sites about her but I just fell inlove one day after reading an article about her, and I just couldn’t resist. The site is no where near done yet, but since Mischa’s greatness, there are tons of images of her and I have just added a small amount of them. The public events category only contain MQ photos and the most recent events at the moment but I’m working on saving some more images for you to enjoy. There are only three albums of Magazine Scans, and I will fill that category up along the way. And, I have decided that there will be no paparazzi images on the site. If you have any complains about that just send me an email. The site’s content is not done either (you may wonder why I even opend ut this site, huh? hah!) but it’s all coming very soon. The career section and the information section are prio one, and the rest will work out sooner or later. Enough ranting now. | Mischa Barton regrets her DUI arrest. | August 7, 2008 |

The former “The O.C” star pleaded guilty to a DUI in April and was sentenced to three years probation following her arrest in December. She tells Britain’s Marie Claire magazine, “The thing is, I hate drunk drivers. Living in L.A., I can’t stand them, and that’s why I was so disappointed in myself. I wanted to prove to the court that I would take it completely seriously, so I went to rehab to prove I was sober. “It really helped in getting the more serious aspects of my case dropped because, you know, that’s what they want to hear: you’re not an alcoholic, and you don’t have a problem.” And the actress believes a lot of young Hollywood star’s problems stem from the fact they are hounded by the media, insisting the gossip press can send stars “crazy.” She explains, “I don’t look at the gossip Web sites — it’s unhealthy, and I think it’s a large part of what drives people in L.A. crazy.” |
